Throughout history, people have revered the moon as a symbol of the divine feminine and associated lunar energy with all that is cool, receptive, mysterious, dreamy and inwardly focused.  In the yogic tradition, the moon is associated with Shiva, the God of Transformation, and the continuous cycle of creation and dissolution.  The moon is also associated with nourishment and the divine nectar known as Soma that is responsible for the blissful feeling that occurs in deep states of meditation. The full moon closest to the autumnal equinox is known as the Harvest Moon and tends to be larger and more colorful than other moons of the year.  Many traditional celebrations are associated with this full moon as it is a harbinger of autumn, the harvest season, and a time of gathering and giving thanks. Come join our Harvest Moon celebration at our Water Avenue Studio.  Together we will create a living mandala while we pay homage to the moon and all she represents.  Our practice will include Chandra Namaskar (the moon salutation) and deep, hip -opening, yin poses.  We will share some moon lore and complete a magical, full-moon ritual.  Come out and howl with us!

This workshop costs $35
