The world after snowQuiet as a church A blown wilderness of silence No matter how hard I listen

Only the frozen rituals Of water, the bare vibration of sound Scaled down, the opaque surface of ice Underfoot, a river of stillness

But when I lean in to the hum Above it all, there’s a shiver Like wind in leafless trees, energy Sensed in the spaces between breaths

And that’s when I hear it: The whisper of God’s white noise.
